Dear Valued Customers,
The West Salem Rotary is discontinuing its spring fresh berry sale and shifting to a frozen berry sale in the Fall.
I know many of you loved the fresh berries in pails, unfortunately there were too many hindrances to continuing with the sale. There are no longer any fruit companies in Oregon that offer multiple varieties of fresh berries for sale in pails. Because of that, we were only able to sell fresh strawberries for the past two years. The most common complaint during that time period was that we no longer offered multiple varieties of berries. After last year’s strawberry sale it was simply not feasible for us to continue with the fresh berry sale.
While this was a difficult decision we are nonetheless excited about the shift as it allows us to sell a much wider variety of fruit including types we have not offered before.
We hope all of you will continue to purchase our berries. Your participation in our sale allows us to continue to offer scholarships to West Salem students and teacher grants to West Salem schools. With our sale being in the Fall, our berries would make an excellent Christmas gift as well as a great holiday dessert.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
